“A Journey Ends… and New Adventures Begin”
This Bookish Adventure Theme Graduation Party, was so much fun to brainstorm and put together.
What better way to Celebrate the Highschool Graduation of my Lovely and whimsy, wordsmith, adventure loving, book enthusiast sister than to throw a Bookish Adventure theme Celebration.
Complete with leather, maps, coffee stained book pages, raw wood, cafe lights, white and cream mix-matched dishes, wine glasses, old bottles, whimsy flowers, sparkling grape juice, drippy candles, and a table full of love, family and laughter.
It is always such a joy to throw a party for someone who you know so well and love so much!
It was a night that any book lover and adventurer at heart would enjoy and one that our family will never forget!

I must start out by saying that this was one of my favorite baby showers to work on and see come together. This past month, I had the wonderful opportunity to help plan a shower for two special Mommies. Both are due around the same time and are both expecting little boys. It was the perfect chance to put on a joint shower. We decided on a “Classic Storybook Theme”. Let me tell you, it was so much fun. The invitations were made to look like a library card in a pocket and all the food and decorations were inspired by much-loved children’s books. It was so neat to see it come together. Each lady in our church brought a book and a snack that went with the story. We played a nursery rhyme riddle game and enjoyed a sweet time of fellowship honoring and showering these two special ladies.

Sometimes the best and most special photographs are those that are not planned and are spur of the moment. That was the case with these snapshots. It was a normal Saturday evening at our house, that was made special by Granddaddy’s stories and letting his Grandson take part in our families’ history by trying on Granddad’s Air Force uniform (that happened to fit perfectly!)
It was an evening of stories, laughter, remembering and memories. Something to treasure and will not be soon forgotten.
Do you have grandparents, or family members that would love to tell you about their family’s history? I would encourage you to find out, ask questions and make sure that you write down the stories and document in pictures. It is something that you will always treasure.
